4 / 5
All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was not ready at the expected time but the staff quickly apologised and kindly offered a complimentary drink whilst we waited. The hotel is very old and some areas require attention (eg window sills, facias and mold in shower). The room (no 20) was large, comfortable and well appointed.
Housekeeping were not able to supply a firmer pillow when requested.
Breakfast was very good but the evening meal was a little disappointing ( fish pie very good but accompanying vegables not so - tenderstem broccoli was very tough).
