Clean rooms, wish it had air conditioning

Cons: The pool is rented out for private parties in the evenings some nights, so do not plan on being able to use it after returning from your activities. There is no air conditioning, so the windows need to be left open in the summer, which made is noisier than it would have been if the windows could be closed. The washer and dryer is a non-vented unit that is an all in one, so please plan for it to take almost six hours to wash and dry a load of laundry. Pros: The front desk staff was always polite and helpful. When the maid tried to come in to the room when the "do not disturb sign" was on the door and tried to tell us we were supposed to be checked out (we had a additional night reserved), the staff took care of it and called back twice to apologize. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, even the pull out bed, which is rare.

The Parkside was beautiful. We rented a 2 bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms with a pullout bed as we were travelling with teenagers. The room layout, beds, kitchen and common space were amazing but there was only one small shower and the second bathroom had a huge tub and no door, meaning the entire bedroom was off limits if someone needed the bathroom. Would have preferred 2 showers and a door on both bathrooms! Otherwise everything was fantastic. Close walking distance to downtown and tons of restaurants.

The rooms were spacious and had a full kitchen to make simple meals. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but the Dyson fans were enough to cool the room. I would definitely be back!

Great for family visits

Room spacious and view nice. Lobby special with fish pond. Parking easy in the garage. Location convenient for walking downtown and to the harbour, museums etc. the pool was big enough to swim laps and the temperature was just right.

Amazing place to stay for a week in Victoria with two kids under 4. Great pool, koi pond where kids can feed the fish, suite style rooms and even s’mores on the rooftop! The staff were so helpful and even booked our whale watching trip for us. And the hotel is about a ten minute walk to the harbour, and a straight shot to the highway, which made sightseeing easy. Only downside was no room service available, which was only really a challenge that first night when we just wanted a beer and easy food delivery. But no big deal. I would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone, especially families with little kids.
