A castle in the backyard!

A lovely spot well situated for walkability to downtown & Dallas Road. The garden unit was lovely and clean, though there was a funky smell from some of the kitchen's cleaning supplies. Otherwise comfortable with our own exterior entrance and patio.

We had a wonderful stay in this historic, but modern style guest house. It was the perfect getaway! The room was spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. We would not think twice about re booking! Highly recommend this property!!

Be prepared for lots of stairs (especially if handling heavy luggage), however the property does give ample warning. Also minimal bathroom countertop space and limited space to put luggage in room. Parking was available, however we did have to park down at the end of the block and around the corner at times, but very doable. The staff was very friendly & accommodating and rooms/property were clean and inviting. It was actually kinda nice to be staying in a residential neighborhood (with a beautiful big castle literally in the backyard).

This was a lovely, unique stay! Room was small but comfortable for a single night, and the bathroom was nicely updated. The building is old, so noise travels easily, but earplugs at night helped prevent being woken up throughout the night. Would recommend this stay for a short-term visit in a beautiful area!

What a lovely, comfortable property! The view of the castle was so lovely and the location was convenient to downtown. Loved the original switches, trim and window coverings. Wasn’t sure if the slippers were recommended (should we have removed our shoes?). Information on breakfast would be helpful to include in the welcome email. Such a lovely stay - thank you!

Felt like a king and queen!

The most comfortable bed and wonderful Castle view. Would have been great to have an elevator for luggage, but understand that would take away from the historical charm. Would definitely stay again!

The surrounding area is peaceful, full of trees and history, and ideal for both relaxing and exploring 🏰🚶‍♀️ Our room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. You can tell great care is taken in maintaining the space 🛏️🧼 We also really appreciated the guest kitchen and laundry facilities—super convenient and made our stay feel even more comfortable and easy. This guest house looks nice on the outside but absolutely lovely inside! We loved our suite looking out at the castle which is right beside the property. The bed was fantastic with tons of pillows. A comfy couch was great for reading and the room made you feel like you were staying in the home of a wealthy aunt, not a hotel. You’re in a quiet neighborhood with other lovely houses. I’ve stayed at the Empress but this will be my first pick for my next trip to Victoria. The value is much better with more room for the money.

Located on a quiet street and next to a historic castle this place was perfect. It had character and historic charm our room had a view of the castle and I felt like I was in a fairytale. The staff was lovely and we got to meet the owner Stephen m! who is wonderful and answers any questions and helps you with anything you need. They have a lovely little breakfast for $10 and make sure that you carve out some time to tour the castle next-door! Cannot wait to return, wonderful stay

This was a very nicely furnished property in the Rockland neighborhood. The only negative about The Craigmyle is that its walls are quite thin and you can hear everyone's coming and goings.

This place is really cute. It is literally in front of the Craigdarroch Castle. This isn't really a hotel, more like a B and B. It has a kitchen you can cook in and washer and dryer you can use from 5-8. There is a lovely sitting room on the first floor. My room looked recently renovated and very comfy. It does have a lot of stairs, so beware if that's an issue for you.
