Cottonwood House
Our large renovated home is set away from the road down a little lane on an acre and a half of land with plenty of space and mediterranean inspired gardens. The home is filled with natural light and decorated to feel like a bright relaxing summery getaway. There are so many spots to disappear for a read or an evening drink and only a short walk from the lake. We have a huge tunnel house where you are welcome to help yourself to fresh vegetables and herbs.
We have 4 bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms. Three with their own baths and all with luxurious showers and heat pumps for heating and aircon in the summer. None of the bedrooms back onto each other so have plenty of privacy and the 3 upstairs are huge with high ceilings. We have two single beds that can be moved into rooms to accommodate kids or guests above 8, all rooms also fit cots. The master bedroom is upstairs and has a very comfortable king bed and a large window seat perfect for reading in the all day sun and the pièce de résistance is the freestanding bath under the eaves. Bedroom 2 is also upstairs with a king bed and another big window seat with views of the mountains. The downstairs bedroom has sliding doors onto the front deck, it has a queen bed and gets all day sun with a gorgeous high ceiling ensuite with a bath and large shower. The attic bedroom is at the other end of the house, with beautiful grey wood floors, it's its own staircase, very comfy queen bed with a view of treble cone through the skylight. It has a beautiful bathroom where you can soak while looking at the stars through the skylight. We have an open plan living, dining kitchen area with a walk in pantry with a bar fridge and a seperate office nook. The living room is large and cosy with a fire in the corner, tv with sonos sound system, Netflix, Apple TV and heat pump. There is a second living area, perfect for sending the kids or sneaking off to read in the sun. It also has a back up full sized fridge. There is a laundry with washing machine and dryer. The entrance is a big porch with all day sun, there are lots of spots outside to relax in the mediterranean inspired garden, with a big seated pit to lounge and sunbathe and an outdoor dining area with bbq.
We are situated down a lane off Aubrey road on an acre and a half with lavender filled gardens. Town is a half hour walk and the lake is at the end of the road. Walk to the local brewery just 1km away and a coffee caravan
