The hotel had a lovely homely feel to it. The furnishings were generally of days gone by but that all added to the charm of the property. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The area around was full of interesting features, even on a Sunday evening. The Durie Hill Elevator has to be visited.

We loved the quaint elegance of the Rutland Arms Inn. The restaurant and bar onsite were excellent for dinner and the breakfast prepared for us got our day started. Very comfortable room and friendly staff.

Nice looking room with a lovely view of the Water Tower. Besides a wee bit of an ant issue (were crawling around on the single spare bed in the room) & floor was marked/ stained from previous guest, was clean, tidy and quiet. Got a great nights sleep. Great atmosphere in the restaurant, nice food, the staff were fabulous & gave great service.

The food downstairs was exceptional. There was a lot of noise outside and inside on occasion but I personally find that comforting. The old style of the building was a nice change of scene and I generally had a good time. Thanks
