Lovely B&B in a great location. 10 mins walk in either direction to shops, cafes and restaurants. The lake is just a few minutes more in the one direction. Car parking available. Lovely rooms. Very clean. Most comfortable nights sleep I've had in a very long time. (I'd love to know where the mattress and pillows are from so I can purchase for home) I arrived several hours early prior to check in and was allowed to leave my car whilst I went out for the afternoon. I was given my room key at this point too. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and very delishious too. We had a lovely stay and would stay again. Have recommended to a friend already. Thanks. The Rum Doodle was in a great location with easy private parking. The hosts made me feel welcome and the room was exactly as shown. Great breakfast menu and they made a packed breakfast for my last day due to an early start.

Hostess wasn’t accommodating. Arrived 20 minutes early for check in and I wasn’t allowed to use a toilet after a long drive. Next morning , I asked whether I could have beans with my bacon and egg and got told no because that was only an option for a vegetarian breakfast. Lovely b&b but let down with the service

Fabulous stay with awesome breakfast

I stayed a few nights for work. The room was beautiful, warm on arrival and spotlessly clean. The parking up the steep drive can be a bit tricky and there was no space for me on the second night so I had to park in the next street. This wasn’t ideal but everything else was great so I’ve not marked them down for it. Breakfast was out of this world!

Brilliant place

The room was really lovely, light, plenty of room, with a nice ensuite. We were greeted with a cold drink and the breakfast the next morning was excellent. We would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again. The location is perfect being in between, you can go to either part of the village easily. Parking availability is a bonus.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed hands down! Everyone was so so friendly and the room was so clean and cozy. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the lady serving was so sweet. I had an early train on the day I checked out, and I was so sad I couldn’t have breakfast that day! I will think about the Rum Doodle every day until I can go back and stay again. The most special place!
