We arrived slightly early for our check in , However it didn't seem to be an issue. The lady on reception was chatty and pleasant. The guest house is clean and tidy and the rooms were nice. There's loads of tea and coffee in the room. They even have their own bar near reception. The breakfast is outstanding with plenty of choice, however the full breakfast is a must.

From checking in to the great breakfast everything was really good. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and excellent value for money. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return there.

This hotel is an excellent find in Windermere. Excellent location, beautiful breakfast and a spacious and clean comfortable room. The staff are very friendly helpful and efficient.

I have never stayed in a bed and breakfast and been offered American style pancakes which were lovely. Plus all the stuff was very helpful.

Upon our arrival at 3:50 p.m. we found no one available at reception for over five minutes. Eventually, a very pleasant lady appeared and, after unsuccessfully attempting to reach someone by phone, kindly assisted us with check-in herself. While she was very accommodating, the situation made for an unusual and somewhat disorganized first impression. Overall, our stay was pleasant and we enjoyed walking to both villages. However, in the morning we were very concerned to discover peeling wallpaper and extensive black mold throughout the accommodation. This is not a minor issue of preference or comfort; it presents a serious health risk and should be addressed as soon as possible. Breakfast was very nice. When the time came to leave, we planned on speaking to someone at the front desk about the situation but again, could not find anyone to speak to. After leaving we contacted the hotel manager via email about the situation and got no response.
Wallpaper was peeling because of the extensive black mold growing under it.

Woodlands was excellent location walking distance to Windermere & Bowness, Staff were friendly and helpful.The breakfast was great having a lot of options and different times you could have breafast which we found very good. If your not driverWoodlands has a bus stop very close & good transport service that take you to all the beautiful nearby towns. We both enjoyed our stay & would recommend to family & friends.
