The Wheelhouse is a fun and family friendly home near the ocean in beautiful Yachats, Oregon. This cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath single level home with ocean views is just across the street from the mighty Pacific Ocean. You will be sure to enjoy the sights, sounds, and fresh ocean smells of the sea. Comfortably sleeping 6, this home is a perfect getaway for couples, families or a group of friends.

Enjoy your time in the comfortable living/dining room which is the perfect place to spend time making memories. Cook up your favorite meal in the kitchen which is part of the open concept living area. Watch for an incoming storm over the Pacific as you cozy up to the wood burning stove on a cool winter day. Two bedrooms are located down the hall. One bedroom has a King bed and one has a Full/Twin bunk bed, perfect for kids! A shared full bath is in the hallway. Two more guests can enjoy their time at the beach by using the sleeper sofa in the living room. A separate laundry room is available for your convenience. This bright, cheerful cottage is dog friendly, too, with a fenced back yard!

This is the perfect place to stay and use as a jumping off point to explore the Central Oregon Coast. Located walking distance from downtown shops and restaurants and right on the 804 Trail, which winds along the coastal bluff, daily walks are a must! From the trail, you will have easy access to the beautiful beaches, where you can enjoy the unique lava rock formations, seals playing in the surf and fascinating tide pools!

We needed a place to sleep for 2 nights to ride out the storm instead of driving to Bend. This little house fit us perfectly for short term and short notice/decision. Glad we stayed because the storm was awesome to watch from the safety and comfort of the couch. Also loved the 804 trail, which we were familiar with and the short but lovely walk to town center for coffee and such. The backyard was suitable for our dogs but used the neighbors HUGE unfenced yard for flinging tennis balls for my obsessive terrier. Would love to return some day.

This was the perfect house for a weekend at the coast. It was really easy to walk where we needed to go so we didn’t need to worry about parking downtown. The kitchen was stocked with anything you could need to prepare pretty much any meal. The back yard was perfect. My favorite part was the windows overlooking the ocean. I was able to watch the water crash on the rocks, which is one of my favorite things to do for downtime at the coast. My child was really appreciative of the mega blocks in the game closet. I would definitely stay here again!
