Both the neighborhood and hotel are extremely charming (though the narrow, steep stairs are a surprise for an American! You can always use the elevator!) The street has lovely large trees. Museums are minutes away on foot, as are canals. We did experience disturbing street noise late at night when we stayed in a room facing the street (loud yelling, revving motorcycles, etc.), but another room facing the back was very quiet. You have the feeling of staying in a bed and breakfast, as breakfast options are extensive, and there is always wine and beer available for no charge.

Very comfortable and excellent service!

We spent two days visiting Amsterdam. The hotel was in a wonderful location as we walked everywhere. Quiet, clean, amazingly comfortable beds, and terrific service. Highly recommend!

Can be improved

The hotel is in excellent location. It’s a lively hotel as well. And the staff is extremely friendly. However there are couple of things that can be improved on - the lights throughout are abysmal. You can barely see much in the room. The bathroom is not comfortable- it’s hard to get into the tub to get a shower- the door is too large. I’m slender and I had problems getting in. Also the makeup mirror and the hair dryer are extremely high. I can’t reach them, I’m 5ft. And on top of this as I mentioned before it’s very dark.

They say welcome home when you check in, and they mean it. It is a lovely place to stay--particularly if you want to be in the Museum District. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast and snacks are thoughtful. Hope to stay there again soon.

We had a wonderful week long stay. The hotel offers many free amenities like a full breakfast, cocktail hour with snacks and drinks, laundry service, nice common areas. They are centrally located but on a quiet, safe street. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

We stayed for a week at this property in mid August, 2025. We were a first floor room, so we didn't really take advantage of the balcony as it was really on the sidewalk. The area is wonderful, walkable to multiple museums, the park, and high end shopping. The shared living space was wonderful, and the breakfast was really an outstanding addition. Our room was a little beat, just little things primarily in the bathroom, but otherwise a really great space. Only complaint I could have is a bit of a sewer smell in the hall and room on some of the days, but this could have been beyond the control of the hotel--so I did not make a complaint. Staff up front weren't overly friendly, but absolutely willing to help when requested. It was honestly a great spot, and we'd stay again.

Pleasant experience

Property was lovely. Located in an excellent location and the common spaces were plentiful and decorated beautifully. The breakfast was good and the free snack/mini bar in the lobby all day was a huge plus. The rooms and hallways were a bit less rennovated than the common areas and the shower was set up a bit awkwardly. Overall it was a solid value!

Good Stay in Amsterdam

We really enjoyed Amsterdam and this hotel. It's a great quiet and safe neighborhood and the rooms are very comfortable, and I thought appropriately priced. The breakfast was good, although I would have liked some type of eggs with it besides the hard-boiled ones. When we were leaving, we decided to check out at the desk. Big mistake. The person at the desk decided to claim that we weren't paid in full and that we owed $2,000. If that was the case, which it wasn't, why did they give us a key for 3-4 days? It was disappointing that we had to prove that we were paid in full. She acted like she didn't believe us. We almost missed our Uber. Regardless, it didn't dampen our stay. we enjoyed the stay very much.
