What a great motel. We stayed on the upper level of the site and it was great. Nice view of the lake, the room was spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend.

This property is in a convenient location to the Cabot Trail. Owner and staff are very attentive. The area lost power for a few hours and the owner gave us her reservation at a restaurant down the street that had a generator. So we enjoyed a wonderful meal and she stayed at the motel to attend to guests. We had a delicious breakfast at the restaurant at the motel before heading out to the Cabot Trail. If we are in the area in the future we wil definitely stay here again!

Very angry. Expedia had our reservations cancelled then kept sending me notifications about checking-in, our stay, etc. Expedia better not be charging me for the two nights booked. Plus, the motel was disgusting.

The motel had a restaurant on its premises for breakfast and dinner. For both meals there was a good selection of entrees to choose from. From the back of the restaurant you have a good view of Bras d'Or Lake, a large salt water lake. There was plenty of free parking in front of the motel. On the negative side, my room (#21) had a very noisy bathroom fan.The problem was reported to maintenance and was promptly repaired. The bathtub was not accessible to mobility compromised people.

Room very clean, furniture to clothes rack. Property outside is well maintained. It seemed they wiped clean all the lawn chairs on the porches every day. Very friendly staff. Quiet hours start at 10 pm. The only small thing I had was it would've been nice to have a small round coffee table between 2 chairs by the window. There were 2 conversation chairs in the room, but no table. When we ate in the room, I used the recycle bin and a cardboard box on top to make a table. Regardless, I would book again when I return to Cape Breton. Location of the motel is convenient, right on the highway, just outside Baddeck, a gas station and Tim Hortons are just a minute drive from it. The motel is across a lake.

This is a small motel with incredible views of Bras D'Or lake. We stayed one night and did not avail ourselves of the restaurant, bar, or the pool. The location is terrific, close to restaurants and shopping in Baddeck.

There was an odour in our room. My husband was bothered by it. The staff was very friendly. Nice to deal with. Restaurant on site was very good ! Would go there again.
