The property was nice and well kept. I liked they had fun stuff for kids to do. The only thing I didnt like was for some of the activities/games at the main pool, they didnt speak in English, only spanish. We wanted to get involved, but we couldn't understand what was going on.

(1) People with mobility challenges should know that there are a lot of stairs and ramps throughout the property. (2) Buffet was below average for quality and variety compared to other resorts. (3) Room service is not available after 10pm despite advertisements saying it is 24-hour.

We came here for our honeymoon super excited to experience what the resort has to offer. We were promised champagne, fruit, robes and slippers and flowers upon arrival. We didn't recieve any of that except for the champagne only after asking for multiple days. We woke up one day to our floors flooded all over our room. We woke up another day to none of the water in our room working. We went to the spa which was beautiful but their cold plunj wasn't working which was one of the things we paid for and were most excited for. We were told we had room credit with our honeymoon package but didnt receive any and when we checked out we were charged extra. We ordered room service one night and it took over 2 hours to get there. We booked an excursion through the resort and didn't get get to see half of what we booked with them. We also were not able to get dinner reservations the first two nights because we were not told how the system worked to book them and they were not willing to help when we asked. The front desk was unwilling to help with any of this. Besides the complaints the beach here is beautiful and we loved Juan in the VIP lounge, he was amazing super friendly and nice and willing to help.

Bad food: lunch and dinner buffet awful plus steak house Elevators too old and slow and only two of them and take forever Noisy A drunk lady walking around in the hallways at 12 midnight yelling and screaming, no one gave a damn she ended up being taken by cops Reception or room service never answer the calls No room service to clean your room, you have to grab them in the hall ways to make sure they come Buffet food is terrible plus steak house and seafood No activity for kids in the pool No good music The show is a joak on weekdays and they kept the good one on weekend only Staff very rude and no one speaks english, no service at the buffet They advertised for kids playroom which is a lie. Only pool tables and ping pong. No night club, another false advertisement.

I am adding this review for the people who decided to go thereYou may want to reconsider your trip to this hotel. Don’t go according to the pictures and all the good reviews. This hotel is full of locals and not good for outsiders/tourist. None of the staff speak english and don’t look at you if you don’t speak spanish. First thing, the food was awful. It did not taste the real food. I got sick the first day bc of the buffet. Steakhouse another problem, the steak as hard as rock. The only thing i found and able toeat was their spaghetti with my 5 years old daughter. Nothing else was eatable. You have to keep asking staff to show up at your table bc they ignore you. Overall behaviour of staff including reception very rude and ignorant. They never smile or look into your requests. Reception never pick up the calls if you call from your room and also room service or hospitality. No one really care if you exist or having an issue. The cleaner never come to check the room or clean. I had to chase them all around the building to find someone to show up. If you are going there to stay at the beach, there is no beach to lay down there. Make sure the pictures won’t fuel you. The beach area is very dirty covered by seaweeds that never cleaned and the water is too deep that it can’t be used. This place is only good for little kids who can enjoy the water park. It is located very far from Cancun just beginning of the strip and very close to airport. Hard to access the town. overall 0.

What I liked was the people working at La Palapa. Like the other times we were there, people working at La Palapa were great. What I didn't like was the reduction of services, the noise from the construction site right beside the hotel. Also, this time, for our second week, we didn't know who was going to clean our room. We had to ask the front desk who was going to clean our room. Apparently, the lady at the previous week was not working anymore even though the card at the room said otherwise. At the beach, the reduction of these umbrellas was inconvenience because when there's only a certain amount of these umbrellas, you have to go early in the morning if want to get one and be lucky. Also this time the sea had more seaweed and it wasn't as pleasant to swim in. The previous times (4) we always had a great time and had nothing but positive to say about this place. Unfortunately this time it was only okay.

The property is nice I like the rooms, the food the beach, the pools is a little crowded if you are looking for a more quiet place is a family hotel so keep it in mind, also at checking they give me 2 cards for 2 towels when return the towels the staff person did not give me the cards back Well at check out they charge me 25 dollars per card that nobody is responsible for and nobody can look for it in the towel place I felt that it was not my fault also they did not mention that in the check in so keep it in mind to ask for the cards when returning the towels, Also the food need more variety of beef since it is a lot of pork.

Not great giving directions but once settled in staff was amazing yanely server is awesome Mary hostess at Wayne’s boots steakhouse was great too Carlos and Roger bartenders are amazing food is just ok at buffet restaurants are better you have to up on the site at 8am to make reservation the adults only pool and club lounge are the best areas if not traveling with kids beach has lots of waves and seafood best time is morning after they clean it up

The staff is super friendly and helpful. They maintain the property well and are always ready to assist. Except for the seafood restaurant rest all served really good food and beverages. The reservation to restaurants is not hard like some people mentioned, you just have to be ready at 8.00 AM to make the choice. Just be careful with towel cards, if you loose it you will have to pay $50 per card. But overall beautiful stay, enjoyed every bit. Thanks to the staff and management.
