Not a decent beach, food was below average, family of 4, we were given only 2 codes for WiFi, if you wanted to add more it was $60 for the first one and $40 for the second, Barcelo blows this place out of the water, we will not be coming back, staff was very friendly and polite I may add.

We had a great visit. Busy during spring break which I think lead to trouble getting ala carte dining and restaurant staff was very busy. But food was very good. Room cleanliness was awesome. Very nice facilities. Pool areas were beautiful. Location to Puerto Morales was great. Would visit again.

Everything from the front desk check in to the housekeeping and security was top notch. The pools are fantastic. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Bartenders are fantastic. The restaurants have a tremendous variety and high quality choices. The grounds are maintained and immaculate. I can only honestly recommend one improvement. I would recommend that there are machines for kids to use for their drinks. Kids ordering drinks from the bartenders clogs up the process some and slows things down. If there were some slushie machines with Pina colada and miami vices and a variety of soft drinks that would be way more convenient for them and take a load off of the bartenders.

We have now been to El Cid twice with the whole family and we are already planning another trip back. Love this resort so much. The staff is amazingly kind, the food options are phenomenal, the pools are fun, drinks are plentiful. Can’t think of a single thing we would change. This place is so huge, each time we come we discover new restaurants and bars and pools and spas that we didn’t know were there. The night life is fun and entertaining. The views are spectacular but honestly their beaches aren’t the best for swimming. A little rocky and seaweedy. Didn’t bother us (we are more pool people) but we did take an excursion from the resort to do some snorkeling and swim in the cenotes. El Cid hits all of our marks and I can’t wait to go back!!

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. We went for our five year anniversary/honeymoon (since we got married during COVID and weren't allowed to travel). When we got there five hours before check in time, were upgraded to the Ventus Ha hotel and allowed to go straight to our room. The room was beautiful and modern and spacious and the room was cleaned every single day, which was so nice. The staff was all amazing. You had access to all the amenities at all three resorts (Ventus, Ventus Ha and Marina El Cid) including the pools, hot tubs and dining at all three. The restaurants were so yummy, especially the French one. The buffet changed their food every day, which was nice. And when we were sitting on the beach or pool deck, waitress would come to us and bring us drinks without even asking. It was such an amazing experience, so relaxing, we'd definitely stay again. Also, we didn't bring our kids this time but the kids club is open from 7am-9pm, so we'll definitely bring our kids next time around. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. Location/grounds and pools - Kids loved the pools and the grounds were beautiful. However, if you're looking for to hang out on the beach, don't go here. There's little beach itself and most of it is not worth it to go in the water at all. Restaurants/food - some were good, some weren't. You could tell they tried hard, but still fell short. Make sure you have reservations at the restaurants. Bar - drinks themselves were fine, but the pool bar doesn't wash their cups with soap and water. They just rinse them and give them to someone else. (Gross) Front desk - there was an issue with my bill. I had to argue with a front desk person 3 different times who was mostly dismissive. Eventually got me a manager who did take care of it. Room - the room was fine and clean. However, I did find the fact that there was exposed electrical in my closet disturbing. I've been to other resorts in Cancun and found this one to not be as good as the others.

Good food. Super helpful and friendly staff. Safe environment for teens. Great shows (especially “playing with fire”). Overall very relaxing atmosphere. My only suggestions would be to improve SUP paddle boards(they should have fins) and get more boogie boards to borrow.

We had a great time! The service and food was fantastic, staff was very friendly and helpful, great environment. The Jr suite we had was extremely roomy, comfortable beds and clean. I traveled with my husband and two kids (11 & 8) I booked Marina El Cid, however when we got there we were upgraded to Ventus Ha. The properties are incredibly well kept, staff were amazing, food was absolutely delicious and there were an abundance of activities for all of us. I'd highly recommend this hotel!

The grounds were very beautiful and well kept. The staff was always friendly and helpful. There was also a very large, well maintained swimming pool close to our room with an impressive cliff diving and water slide feature. The restaurants were roomy with a large number of tasty dishes!
