#Expedia did me dirty. They listed this as a romantic stay, which threw us off when we realized it was a family and kids resort. Great for families, nice staff, lots of pizza, fries, and nachos, but that’s about it. Theres 3 adult only hot tubs, all with kids swimming in them. Nice views and a beautiful ocean. Marco Polo was the fancy restaurant inside where we did end up having a romantic dinner after all, which was lovely. Just wish it wasn’t advertised as a “romantic steal”.

Outdated hotel. Pool chairs are really bad, old. Not much sunshade so you are doomed to burn. Lots of see weed that was not cleaned regularly. Lunch buffet was bad. Dinner was ok, but the same every night; whereas breakfast buffet was very good.

Outdated and crammed pool beds, one elevator didn't work all the time; bland lunch and not much changes for dinner buffet; though there were many options. Staff is nice and accommodating. Food is horrible, not very tasty. Me and my wife got intoxicated and couldn't enjoy 2 out of our 3 days vacation. Wi-Fi is really bad. Considering that they have a lot of international tourists without a local phone plan, having a good wifi is very important.

Fantastic family friendly resort. The food, beverage, and staff were all better than expected given the price point. The condition of the facilities is the only drawback. There are noticeable improvements needed. Royal Solaris itself was noisy with thin walls, doors, ant self slamming doors. All that said, I recommend for a budget and family friendly experience. Food was better than expected!

I stayed at the Royal Solaris hotel from March 13 to March 18, 2025, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. On March 17, 2025, around 5:50 PM, after returning to the hotel and finding my room key card had stopped working, I went to the front desk to request a replacement. The front desk staff member was not only unprofessional but also outright disrespectful. Despite providing my ID, they refused to issue a new key card and denied me access to my room. This was a blatant disregard for basic customer service, and the behavior of the staff was completely unacceptable. It’s clear that this hotel cares very little about its guests. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs. It’s a rip-off, and the lack of professionalism and courtesy made my stay unpleasant. This experience was more than frustrating—it was disgusting. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for accommodations. You deserve better treatment.
