The host was responsive within a reasonable timeframe whenever we reached out, which we appreciated.Downtown Canmore is a short and reasonable walk. There are also local breweries and restaurants within a short walk. Larger vehicles will not fit in the garage. We rented a half ton truck that wouldn’t fit. We were able to store it in the driveway without issue. One important note for future guests: the listing includes a hot tub as an amenity, which was one of the main reasons we chose this property. However, a few days before arrival, we received instructions indicating that the hot tub is actually located off-site at a separate facility and requires an additional fee. This was unexpected and a bit misleading based on the original listing. To the host’s credit, she did offer to cover the cost for us to use the Elevation Center and followed through with a refund, which we appreciated—but there is no hot tub on the property itself.Overall, while the property itself is large and comfortable. The discrepancy around the hot tub, combined with the price point, made it feel a bit expensive compared to similar listings—especially given the lack of an on-site hot tub.

The house itself was very clean but needs some tlc. The balcony door upstairs is broken. It doesn’t lock. We came home to it being home one night and were a little scared due to this. The front door doesn’t open from the outside from day 1. We had to use the garage every time to enter the house. Also, the fridge door handle is broken too. It was snowing the last day we were there. We were concerned about black ice since we had to drive at 2am to the airport. We asked if there was salt, the response we got was, no just be careful. I do believe some reassurance and some salt being kept in the garage would have been nice. The place is big and super clean. If these concerns are addressed, it is the perfect stay if you’re exploring banff.

Great property -- with one big exception described below. The house is very comfortable for 3 families who needed four bedrooms (the basement can serve as another bedroom). Great location. The kitchen, eating area and living space was very good. Everything is generally well maintained (the refrigerator door handle on one side was broken, but that wasn't a big deal at all). The reason for four stars is that the garage door automatically closes after a period of time. It closed on the roof of our car rental once and the sensors and alarm did not go off. Minor damage was sustained, but this auto close feature NEEDS to be turned off for safety reasons. If that is addressed, this house is a good place to stay.
