Booked for a quick overnight trip for a concert at Aragon Ballroom. Location was great about a 15 minute Uber and easy pick-up/drop-off outside hotel. Check-in was a breeze, space to pull over car and unload. Staff was incredibly hospitable and helpful upon arrival. Room was also readily available. Room was pretty small, but it had all necessary features. I didn’t even sign into the wifi, but the password was listed on my keycard. Security was great after hours! keycard into main lobby and keycard up the elevator at all times, so I really appreciated that especially as a young woman. The parking situation is not as easy as it seems online, it’s just around the block from the hotel- you can easily walk and also cut through the mall around the corner to get in faster as well. However, navigating that in Chicago traffic can be a little stressful as it was for me at least. My car remained safe overnight in the garage and I was promptly provided a parking validation upon check-out. My only complaint was that I had called down to the desk for extra toiletries when I returned from my night out and the young man at that desk said he would do some investigating and call me back, but he never did. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and I’d recommend Hotel Versey. I would stay here again.

Pictures online did not look the same as they did in person. There was garbage in the hallways. The wallpaper was wrapped and the room did not feel clean. We had originally booked our stay for three nights and had to cancel our reservation and find somewhere else to stay. Very disappointed.

This hotel was under construction although we did not see any real construction being done. The rooms were outdated all around. The bathroom was small, the sink was low and there was a glass ledge above it, so it was difficult to wash your face without hitting the head on that glass ledge. The shower was a bathtub with curtains and the water temp was just OK. The positive was the street, plenty of walkable restaurants and coffee spots. Safe. Would only stay here again after a full renovation.

Nice location. Friendly staff. Inside room with a dreary view. Very high deposit. It was quiet and surrounded by good restaurants. Plus, an excellent place to watch the Marathon.
