Sudima Hotel Christchurch Airport - Christchurch Hotels

Sudima Hotel Christchurch Airport

550 Memorial Avenue, Christchurch - Map
"Very nice hotel close to the airport"
The hotel room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained. We were welcomed at the reception desk and again at the restaurant where the food, wine and service were excellent albeit it a little pricey. The friendliness and information conscierge, David, was an excellent source of information re Christchurch and made our stay and forward travels that much better.

"Small, but perfectly formed"
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were superb and extremely attentive. The fruit bowl at reception is a nice touch. The room was very clean and tidy. A little odd that the windows were at knee height, but there was no view, so it did not matter at all. Slept really well. I will use this hotel again.

"Comfortable and clean but noisy"
Given the nature of the hotel...there was significant traffic all through the night which woke us up several times ie a noisy next door guest / trolley wheels bumping down stairwells and outside the window. We were on the ground floor. Could be a great place if you can find a quiet room?

    Accommodation In Christchurch

Christchurch is a world-class destination where the locals are brave, resilient, resourceful, and ready to put on the ritz for their guests. Sounds perfect, doesn't it? That's what you'll have when you stay in one of our Christchurch hotels. Don't let a few earthquakes scare you; despite the challenges that the city has faced since 2010, the people of Christchurch are rebuilding their city stronger and better than ever. Oh, and did we mention the gorgeous mountain and ocean views?

Perhaps the best of those views are seen from the Port Hills, which is popular with hikers, birdwatchers and mountain bikers. The views may be pretty, but many of Christchurch's gardens are equally gorgeous. In fact, Christchurch is known around the world as "The Garden City". The Christchurch Botanic Gardens, Hagley Park and Mona Vale Gardens are some of the most popular. If you're in Christchurch in February, make sure you attend the Festival of Flowers, or the Ellerslie International Flower Show in March. Flower festivals aren't the only popular annual events in Christchurch, though. There's also the International Busker Festival held in January, which features buskers from all over the world performing throughout the city.

A fairly new attraction in Christchurch is the Re:START Mall. This strip of shops is housed in brightly coloured shipping containers, and opened in 2011, as a bit of a protest against Mother Nature and as a symbol of the comeback-spirit of Christchurch locals. Head down to the mall to pick up some bargains and have a great cup of coffee. If you'd like to do a coffee crawl, make sure you visit Addington, which is famous for its cafes and live music scene. Throughout the city, quite a few "pop up" bars have made their mark since the quakes, where cocktails are often stirred and shaken inside a bus, while the bar-goers sit at funky tables and chairs, under the stars in an empty car park.

The Christchurch airport is only 15 minutes from the CBD. You can get around the city by bus, and there are also lots of cycling tracks. If you want to explore other parts of New Zealand, Christchurch is serviced by inter-regional trains. So, for a holiday in New Zealand's ‘Reimagined City’, check out these cheap flights and book your Christchurch accommodation today.
