Great staff and quiet rooms.

Check in was quick and easy. The rooms were quiet; we could not hear activity from other rooms. Tammy was the staff at breakfast and she was wonderful! So welcoming, helpful, and friendly; she made the start to our day bright and cheerful.

The staff were excellent. I was disappointed the pool was closed with no real explanation. The carpets & window shades even were stained. I didn’t feel comfortable walking in the room bare-footed. The facilities need a good steam cleaning. I was surprised how close it was to the American Airlines Center. Several patrons were walking to a concert both nights we were there.

Tammy at breakfast was super nice and attentive. The front desk man was nice as well. The room wasn’t what I asked for and the carpet was pretty dirty. The A/C was struggling all night to reach temperature. Not the best Hyatt I have stayed at. No eggs at breakfast was a disappointment as well.

If you’re going to the American Airlines Center the Hyatt house uptown is perfect. A short walk with plenty of food and drink options along the way.

I dont feel like this property is up to Hyatt standards, but it was fine for a weekend stay. The only interaction we had with staff was check in which was fine and transactional, not super friendly. The pool was closed which was a huge bummer considering it was over 100 in Dallas. The AC in the room also took almost all night to drop, it was set at 75 when we arrived, didn't get under 70 until early the next morning. This hotel is super close to the American Airlines Event Center allowing us to walk to our concert. The room was clean enough, but felt dingy. This place is in need of a refresh, new carpet, new paint, and a good cleaning.

You get what you pay for

I only stayed in this hotel because it is cheap and near to my office, but otherwise I would not stay here. It is very dated and needs a complete renovation, or knocked down so that something else can be built here. The room has a small kitchen which might be helpful for longer term guests. It would have been nice to use the pool but it was drained.

Every staff member I interacted with was very pleasant and accommodating. They made us feel welcomed.They treated us like a long time friend. On top of that the rooms were clean and the bed was so comfy. If I'm ever in Dallas I will definitely be staying there again.
