Stylish Garden Oasis

Welcoming weekend oasis, surrounded by flowers, fruit trees and vegetable gardens. The perfect eco stay with stylish interior. Cook a meal with fresh herbs from the garden. Pick up a bottle of excellent wine at the shop just down the road.

You'll have the entire house to yourself. A great place to relax and unplug. This property has no TV and no Wifi.

You will be close to beaches, mountains, a canyon and a country park. The Diamond Harbour Eatery and Bar is open daily 9am to 6pm, Thurs, Fri, Sat open 9am to late. The small supermarket "Four Square" is only 2 minutes walk away (open daily 7am to 7pm). Orton Bradley Park (5km away) offers extensive walking and biking tracks. Orton Bradley Park also has a wonderful garden cafe (open Wednesdays to Sundays - during summer only).

There are at least two beaches within walking distance. There are also several multi-day walks nearby on the Banks Peninsula, including the Packhorse Hut and the Rod Donald Hut. You can walk up Mount Herbert, the largest mountain on the Banks Peninsula (approx. 6 hours round-trip) or local, shorter walks, like the cliff track walk with spectacular views.

From the Airport: You can reach this property conveniently by Bus & Ferry (go to https://go.metroinfo.co.nz and a journey planner is available). If we are available we are happy to pick you up from the ferry in Diamond Harbour. Please arrange this in advance. Also ask for bikes in advance if you'd like one (free of charge).

The ferry from Diamond Harbour to Lyttelton is 3km away (30 mins walk) and the journey takes 8 minutes. From Lyttelton a direct bus route takes you into Christchurch centre and from there to the Airport.

My wife and I recently stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we were so delighted by the thoughtful card and gift from Sabina upon our arrival.We absolutely loved our stay and found it to be a wonderful, quiet getaway. The house was very cozy, comfortable, and clean, and the location was great—close to local shops, attractions, and eateries.We would highly recommend this property to others planning a visit to the region.

The photos dont do this property justice. Love the way that this house has been decorated. Theres alot of small touches. Gardens are beautiful. Its nice to sit outside on the grass or bar stools outside and admire the view. Four Square, Two Thumbs Brewery and Fish and Chips are only a 2 min walk away. If you want the best coffee, Soul Coffee is only a 2 to 5 min drive away, 25 min walk. The girls there all beautiful human beings. Thank you Bina. You are great to deal with and it was kind of you to offer a later checkout. Enjoy your stay.

Very cosy home, great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Was nice and central for us... had things to do both in Christchurch and Akaroa... worked well! Just an fyi though... we were not able to find a cold setting on the wash m/c ... hubby is not enjoying his "yoga pants" jeans now

Just What Was Needed

A great get-away place to stay. Wonderful house and gardens to sit back and relax in. Perfect spot to go for walks and wander to the beaches. Supermarket, fish and chip shop and bar within a 5 minute walk which is all bases covered. Great host with great communication. Would recommend to others needed a relaxing break.

A warm & comfortable property. Light & sunny and great to have a cosy fire in winter. I loved the art on the walls and amazing vegetable garden. Also the outside patio to watch the sunset with a drink in the evening! A relaxing atmosphere was created with thoughtful styling & accessories. Such a lovely retreat!

A character filled cottage with a lovely peaceful garden setting. Stunning artworks on the walls.

Super comfy bed. (Be sure to read the small print... We didn't and found no internet or television was the only downside.) Overall an awesome stay. Highly recommended.
