Weekend away

We arrived at the property about 6.30 pm from a taxi that left us outside the iron gates. The buzzer let us in and after wandering around the building a door opened and an old gentleman beckoned us in. He took us to a room by the door showed a map of Florence and where to go. Said a bus was at bottom of hill to centre and was 1.20 Euro , showed us the room we’d booked!!! A toilet just by end of bed with simple rail and curtain around, said we could be upgraded for 10 Euro per night to next door which had a totally separate bathroom. Obviously we went for that, if we wanted breakfast it was 10 Euro each but not told what it would be and to write time on a card that you wanted it. Anyway we caught a bus (2 Euro and had an old timetable), we had zero choice as there was nothing to eat in the place. Came back by taxi and next morning was told we had to go into other room as people who had booked ours were coming. Had a little walk outside, booked another hotel, went in to tell owner but nobody but a worker who couldn’t speak English was there. Absolutely disgusting treatment and disgraceful showing on websites
