This was a great motel, huge room. 11min drive from Franz Josef and 30m drive from Fox Glaciers! Would definitely recommend and stay again. Property was also great about arranging a late check in.

It had a loft with master bed and seperate room with 2 twin beds for kids. The highlight was a sunroom attached to LR with greenary all around The surprise view was a mountain view at back of the room The front desk was very helpful with checkin and checkout

Highly recommended hotel.

An amazing hotel room, very spacious and with a rain forest outside the patio doors. The staff were excellent. My only criticism is driving to our cabin as the road is narrow, but if you take care it’s not a problem.

Nice little motel with great staff!

We had a great stay at Punga Grove! It was a perfect place to lay our heads after a long travel day. It was such a nice feeling to get out of the car with our tired, grumpy, restless kids, and be greeted with such warmth and kindness from the person at the front desk. We all perked up immediately. The loft suite was perfect for our family of five. The room was very tidy, and the beds were comfortable.

The room, I think it was an executive suite, was very comfortable and quiet. We loved that it looked into some forest so it felt very private. We ate meals on the deck. The kitchenette had all the basic tools we needed. The fireplace was extra cozy and warmed the room quickly. The jetted tub was so relaxing after a day of hiking! Overall, we loved it and would recommend and stay again.

Very close to shops and attractions. Easy parking. Lovely glass indoor patio gave a feel of being close to nature. Upstairs blinds were not very good at blocking out light for sleeping in Summer. Be aware if travelling with young children their bedroom is downstairs and master is a loft upstairs. Toilet access downstairs. Lovely area to stay in.
