I should have asked for a lower level room as our room was at the end of the hall with no access from the outside so we had to bring luggage up the stairs and down the hall. (We are seniors) We were beside the stairwell at that end and could go out, but not in. The front desk was friendly and gave us good suggestions for dinner

For an independent motel in Golden I thought the price was exceptionally well for the summer season. Definitely a place I’ve been stopping more for business, as I go through golden about six times a year.

The front desk girl was most helpful. The room was nice and clean. We found a bedside light would probably need some repair. The only negative was the noise of the person walking in the room above us.

This is the first place that I stayed in who wrote down full information of my credit card including the CVV at the back of the card for “accidentals”. Refused to just do authorized amount with the credit card. Either full information written down, or cash deposit. And the lady at front desk was offended when I questioned the practice, and said all other customers just trust them.

Avoid if you have any other options. Visibly dusty room, dirty shower curtain. The photos on Expedia aren't representative of the space. The rooms are very dated, so the bedding wasn't comfortable. At check in, was told if any my hair color ran onto the towels there was a $50 charge. Thank goodness we only had to spend 1 night.
