Hoenheim Gare Tram Station accommodation from NZ$120

Our check-in was not smooth...we arrived at 1pm after a very long flight then a train from Zurich to Strasburg, so up almost 24 hours. We went to the front desk and was brusquely told by the woman we could not check-in until 3pm. We asked if there was perhaps just 1 room ready (we had 2 rooms reserved), again rudely told only at 3pm. Then we had to ask if we could at least store our luggage. Not once did she suggest anything...we roamed the hotel on our own & eventually had lunch at the restaurant (excellent food). We then patiently waited in the lobby until 3pm & was served by another lady who was sympathetic to our interaction with her colleague. All that aside, the rooms are generous in size, the balconies have a tanle & 2 chairs & a somewhat fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom again quite large. It is located somewhat outside of the city but we secured the same taxi each morning to bring us into town.
