Property was good however I paid for the entire room before I cam only to be hit with “ Resorts Charges”. We were already paying higher costs to stay in this hotel so why did we get hit with another charge that wasn’t exactly visible to us before we are arrived. I found the lack of visibility on this less than professional. You essentially had no choice but to pay.

The hotel's main areas were nice and well maintained HOWEVER, we found an actual ROACH in our guest room (we were next to an unkept maid service storage room). The guest room was bare minimum for the price we paid. The room smelled wet upon entry, the phone in the room was inoperable and would not connect to guest services. The iron was rusted. The balcony had dingy plastic chairs. We had to walk BLOCKS to get the "complimentary" beach chairs/umbrellas only to be told they were all out. There were long waits for elevators to the guest floors. The "spa" is attached to the gym so you'll have to walk pass ppl (mostly men) in your spa robe from the "spa" locker room in order to get to the massage rooms. The "spa" lockers were sticky/dirty. The "spa" offered minimal services (no sauna, no whirlpool). The property advertised rooftop activities such as a basketball/tennis court and batting range HOWEVER none of the equipment was avaliable (appeared to possibly be stored in pad locked cabinets). The pool is small and doesn't get sun. Also, theres a dining club area and laundry onsite that most guest aren't told about. The best I can say...the Swell lounge had nice live music and the hotel is in a convenient walkable area. They charged my card upfront a $52 per night resort fee and placed an additional $500 deposit hold for subpar services. For the roach in my room they refunded part of the resort fee and offered $100 resort credit but all said/done, I will not book this hotel again.

The lobby and entrance are very nice but rooms are small as is the bathroom! The location of the hotel is ideal and right across the beach and close to walking distance to international market. Was not impressed with the coffee in room and no free coffee for patrons in lobby with flavored water! Hard to get late check out! I don’t consider this a 5 star resort.

Room was ok. Housekeeping did not replace washcloths or bathmat so we did not have them the next morning. We did not realize until the morning after when we went to shower and we had to leave by 5:30am so no time to wait for housekeeping. Really loud speakers on the beach made it hard to relax in the room. Cabana rental was nice overall even though it was raining off and on. Definitely not the same type of hotel I would expect for a 5 star hotel. Long delays when texting the front desk.
