I can see why the hotel was cheaper than a lot of other places in the area. This hotel is trying way too hard to be elegant, and they need to calm things down and master the basics. There’s a strange incongruence in the rooms. It’s like they have an old rundown, dusty feel, but they’re trying to gloss it over with expensive appearing furnishings, high priced tea cups and gold silverware. The rooms look old even though the hotel was recently refurbished and just opened last year. The machine in the room that is used to make coffee and tea is way too complicated to use. They need to simplify their process. The design of the restrooms is totally dangerous. There is no clear distinction between the shower, the toilet and sink. I could see this being a serious safety issue for somebody who is elderly because the floors in the bathrooms are not slip resistant. Rethink your concept Ellen Kensington.
