When I made the reservation I specifically request a room in the newer tower and also that it not be in the basement. Upon check in where was our room? It was in the older building AND in the basement. Not sure why you’re able to put in a request and it is completely ignored. Our room was fine in the end. The bathroom setup was not great and left a lot to be desired. The glass enclosure separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom was about 12” wide. It did virtually nothing to keep water inside the shower and so water went everywhere. We had to use every available towel to wipe it up from the floor, etc. Otherwise, the stay was fine. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. We were checked in by a lovely guy, who tried his best to be accommodating. He was polite and pleasant.

Great find, only a few minutes walk from Paddington station which is good. Room was lovely but bathroom very small, as it was only for one night we managed but not sure if I could cope with another night but I expect they had other rooms with bigger ones. We asked for a quiet room which was great. Service was good.

Close to Paddington Station a Very Central Stay

Set in a historical building, all of the fixtures and finishes were top of the line. The hardware was high quality and the whole hotel just said well made. The bed was a pillow top and the linens and towels were all high quality. The room was the size they said, but there was a carpeted area suitable for my morning stretches. Will stay again.

Lovely visit. However, you have to contort to close the bathroom door, it's so small. Staff was lovely, entire facility was very clean. Recommend the high tea.

The hotel is lovely quiet clean and staff very helpful. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with the temperature of the rooms. Our first room was first of all, inaccessible for my travelling companion as to get to the room we had to climb a flight of stairs. The room was also freezing. We asked for assistance in making the room a comfortable temp (20 degrees?). Our first night was freezing and we barely got any sleep. In the morning we mentioned this to the front desk. After another investigation they found the thermostat

Comfortable stay

Close to Paddington underground and train station; also close to a collection point for a couple of the hop on-hop off tours. Lots of food options in the area. The room was comfortable. The bathroom had heated floors which were too warm for our liking (didn’t appear to be a way to adjust this). Room air conditioning worked well. The safe lock did not seem to work; we called the front desk who said the instructions were inside the safe (they were not), and could not offer instructions. We stayed in a basement room (LG5); I recommend using the “sleeping” button on the room panel so that staff/guests are quieter in the hallways overnight and in the early hours.
