This hotel gave my pre paid room away to another guest when I checked in late, despite me letting them know about my late check in and they did this without making any attempt to contact me. They explained that the hotel was 'overbooked'. But I had already purchased my room and fully paid it. Avoid this hotel. The same thing happened to another guest and we were both left waiting in reception.

The Thistle Hyde Park Kensington Gardens hotel in London is in a great location. The room was very nice with a great view of Hyde Park. The breakfast was great. The staff was very well dresses and courteous but they could use some additional training to better meet guests' needs. I needed information about taxis in the area, the staff responded quickly but said they were referring me to others. I never received any additional response from the hotel so I had to reach out and find the information myself. This caused me some anxiety and when I got to the hotel, there was an Uber machine in the lobby! That would have been nice to know. Second, we asked for a wake-up call and it came 47 minutes late - not helpful. Third, we said we would be leaving early the next morning and staff assured me we could gets some breakfast items to go since we had paid for breakfast. There was nothing for us when we left early the next day to go on a tour. The positives did outweigh the negatives so we might stay there again.

Nicely Located along Kennsington Park

We are a family and booked a king suite with a sofa bed. The living room with the sofa bed pulled out is very tight, but the beds are comfortable. There was plenty of hot water and light. They could use an extra luggage rack when there are obviously more people in the room. Breakfast had a nice variety. We were able to take the bus (along the side of the hotel) and Tube (3-4 blocks walk) easily. Overall a nice stay. The hotel needs a few cosmetic upgrades, but we would stay there again.

Wonderful hotel with beautiful views

This hotel was excellent. It was clean, and very convenient and beautiful location. It is right across the street from Kensington Garden and you can get the tour buses right out front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was delicious and lots of choices.
