The property is convenient and walkable to the downtown restaurants. The room was pretty basic but has all the amenities needed for our overnight. One thing that stood out in our stay, the bedsheet is top quality- cool, silky and crisp to the touch that made our sleep pretty pleasant. Wish there were more than 2 pillows in the bed though.

Everytime was clean and people were nice to me. The signal on the tv went out, but i was leaving anyway so it didnt matter to me. The staff is very welcoming. It was my 3rd or 4th stsy there. The price is reasonable.

Good stay other than our coffee maker not being cleaned. Was still full of old coffee and filter. Kinda made for a rough start having to go hunt for coffee at 5am. Parking is tight for large vehicles. Room was quiet and clean otherwise.

Happy Trails

No frills. Just a basic, old school motel room in an old school motor court in an old school small desert town. So if you don’t like old school, take a hint. Super clean. Easy access. Comfy bed with decent pillows. Better than average toilet paper. TV worked. Coffee in room (tho only styrofoam cups - no mugs). Very quiet at night. Great view of the Eastern Sierras. If you’re looking for a bougie, five star experience with designer this and that and amenities up the wazoo and ceramic coffee mugs, you better move on. But if you want a clean place to start adventures of Mt Whitney, the Alabama Hills, Death Valley, and all places in between? If you want a pre-bougie motor in experience? If you want a great value? The Trails is your place.

This older traditional motel has the basics: pretty clean, hot water, comfortable bed. It’s posted pictures are misleading. The rooms seem representative, but the pictures of the outside of the facility, except for the picture of the sign, are of the Film Museum next door. The actual entrance is rather tired.
