Pretty amazing location and nicely tucked away from too much hustle and bustle of city life. This felt like a nice escape after a day out in the city. Could truly relax, felt nicely looked after and free to do as I pleased. Daily room service and freshening up of the room was a lovely thing to come back to. Great views of the city, whatever corner of the hotel you are staying in and the greeting coming into or leaving the hotel was always a treat. Never felt unsafe walking in, always welcomed, even passed 2am! Would definitely stay here again if visiting LA again soon!

Disappointing Stay

We had a very disappointing experience at The Godfrey Hollywood. Before arrival, we requested a quieter room away from the rooftop and facing the courtyard. At check-in, we were told we’d been “upgraded” to a City View room, which actually placed us on the 5th floor facing a busy street without a "view"—nowhere near what we asked for, and far from quiet. The room had several issues: the HVAC system didn’t cool properly, engineering took over 1.5 hours to respond, and it remained warm through the night. The room was only stocked for one guest (towels, robe, etc.) even though we booked for two—and some of the extra items we requested were never delivered. On Saturday night, a rooftop party with a DJ went until nearly 2 AM. The bass was so intense we could feel it in our room. Earplugs didn’t help. Despite calling the front desk and later going down in person, nothing was done. After the music ended, we endured more noise as staff dragged equipment above us until 2:30 AM. To make things worse, service at the bar that night was incredibly poor—slow, dismissive, and unfriendly. Overall, we would not stay here again or recommend this hotel. If you're looking for rest and good service, look elsewhere.

Great Value & Stylish Stay, But Bring Earplugs!

I had a great stay at this hotel, especially considering the price (around $200 per night). I booked the Courtyard King room and found it to be stylish, clean, and surprisingly spacious—despite some reviews mentioning small rooms. The location is excellent, surrounded by plenty of dining options, and the hotel itself has some thoughtful touches, like complimentary earplugs, free coffee and bottled water, and $10 food and drink coupons, which were a nice bonus. That said, if you're a light sleeper, noise could be an issue. Even though my room faced the courtyard, sound carried quite a bit—from guests chatting late into the night to music in the evenings (which didn’t bother me as much). The biggest noise issue, though, was the heavy doors that slam shut throughout the night, combined with inconsiderate guests talking loudly in the hallways. A softer door-closing system would be a great improvement. Overall, the hotel offers a luxe experience with great amenities, including a rooftop pool. If you’re not overly sensitive to noise, it’s a fantastic stay for the price.

Great location

Beautiful hotel in a very convenient hotel. It’s in a very busy area with walking distance to a lot but it’s noisy. Great bar with live music

Its a great property. Room was good just hairs in the bathroom when i checked in but after 20 hours of travel wasnt going to bother dealing with that. Staff werent loving life but they were as helpful at the minimum required. Told me not to walk alone at night. I think your ok though just look like a local and you will fit right in.
