This property was in an excellent location! Very walkable and great views. The staff was also very kind. A couple of things that hold this property back is the super small and old elevator that seems like it could give out any minute. Another thing is the stale cigarette smoke that lingered throughout the hotel even with the doors shut and being in an non smoking room. And lastly, instead of breakfast being included they give you a voucher of £18.50 / person to go to their restaurant. It wasn't a bad breakfast but definitely not worth the price they have. Also to note- the bathroom is SO small. It feels like the bathroom is an old closet and they just shoved everything in and called it a day.

We had an amazing stay at Des Alpes Luzern, and we can't recommend it enough! The location is absolutely perfect, situated right in the heart of everything Luzern has to offer. It’s just a 5-10 minute walk to plenty of fantastic restaurants, great shopping, and the main train station—making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and exploring the city. The staff truly stood out during our stay. They were attentive, professional, and friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure we felt welcome and comfortable. It’s clear that the team takes pride in providing excellent service. We’ll definitely be coming back to Des Alpes Luzern in the future, and we won’t hesitate to recommend it to our families and friends. New look and design in the rooms.

I’ve stayed here many times and you can’t beat the location for visiting Luzern. The hotel as completed renovations on about half of the building and is underway with the rest. Never heard any of the workers or work being done. The new rooms are awesome. The design and cosmetic works are well done. You will enjoy this hotel. Its pricing is great and only an 8 minute walk to the train station.

Delightful view

The hotel is in a delightful location, we had a balcony room overlooking the old bridge. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was lovely. Access to the hotel with a car is not easy and parking at the train station is expensive.

We enjoyed our stay at Des Alpes during our visit to Lucerne. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the staff is multilingual and very friendly. The hotel is conveniently located near the old town, an area with shops and restaurants, riverside next to the chapel bridge and close to the train station. Breakfast is nice although the ticket system suits them more than the guests IMO. Recommend

Very quiet room on the city side of the hotel. Couldn’t ask for a more central location! Cash vouchers were really appreciated for the incredible on-site restaurant.

Great hotel with view of Chapel Bridge

Had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the Chapel Bridge. Breakfast credit given for sit down and order meal ( or equivalent credit for anytime in restaurant including drinks. - we liked this). Great neighborhood and helpful desk staff.
