However our room was next to another room that had a sound go on and off all night thst sounded like a car with a bad muffler in the distance.. very hard to sleep even with ear plugs in

Great hotel with amazing views of the Capitol. Attached to Monona Terrace. Only drawback is parking. Ramp down to the lowest levels. Tight spaces and one night had to park in the last space that was tiny.

Staying for Labor Day Weekend it just so happened to be Taste of Madison. This is an ideal location for that event. It was a 3 minute walk to the Capitol building. Along the arterial streets around there is a ton to do. Obviously with that said the location is ideal. Service was all excellent at the front desk and lobby bar. Weather was great so we had a coupe drinks in the courtyard area off the entrance. Food was really good at the restaurant. There is a walkway over toward the terrace where there is a cafe (unrelated to Hilton) and a great view of the lake. The room itself is showing a little wear. Bed and sofa were comfortable. The blower/cooler/thermostat were not really in sync. Each day the temp would change without us doing anything so it got warm at night/late morning. The fan also did not stay on and would turn on and off all night. That was super annoying. There was no working phone in the room….no wires at all. They said they could have someone fix it then but we just wanted to relax. Pool is really small and only 3ft deep all around. $25 overnight parking with in and out rights. All in all it is a solid place to stay.
