Despite the wotif advertisement, they charged before arrival. They did this without any notice or communication. I found out only after checking my bank statement. I believe they would have tried to charge again on arrival if I hadn’t noticed. They tried to charge well over and above security deposit advertised on wotif. It was terribly noisy with thin walls. Screaming, yelling partying happening in the building and they did nothing to ask the party to be quiet

Great location and walking distance to all things Melbourne CBD. The apartment was clean and roomy. I have stayed at Punthill Manhattan before, but unfortunately it seems to have become a bit ‘tired’ since my last stay. The carpet was stained, worn and buckling in places and the general smell of the apartment was awful. We had little to no sleep as there was a party going on in the next room, which could easily be heard until the early hours of the morning. Such a shame as I’ve always been happy to stay there.

Good location for those not taking a vehicle, close to trams & a few local restaurants. Not accessible for anyone who is unable to use stairs.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again simply because of the VERY thin walls which meant I didn’t get ANY sleep because the couple in the apartment room next to me ‘kept me awake all night’ lol Whilst they were somewhat quiet I could still hear EVERYTHING from conversation to the lovemaking lol The rooms were on the same end of the wall so it was unavoidable. Even the construction noise outside the building didn’t wake me. Everything else was perfect but that’s a deal breaker and I won’t be staying again.
