We had to change rooms on the second day of our stay because the front door lock broke and the door frame skirting was visibly rotted. While the staff were generally friendly and accommodating, they fixed it, I was very disappointed with the main taxi service recommended by reception. The driver never used the meter and consistently overcharged us for both pickups and drop-offs. As female travelers in a foreign country, this left us feeling taken advantage of. What concerned me further was that reception repeatedly encouraged us to travel to Suva using this same taxi service yet never mentioned the PMV service between Nadi and Suva, which proved to be far more affordable and convenient. It left me questioning whether she was aware of the excessive taxi charges. Our final experience was also disappointing. On the morning of our departure, the receptionist on duty had fallen asleep, and we had to wake her to arrange transport to the airport. Although she organised a driver, she seemed uninterested. The room issue alone would have been forgivable, but the combination of poor customer service and the endorsement of an overpriced taxi service leave a lasting negative impression. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again.
