This hotel was excellent. Very clean and quiet rooms, the entire hotel smells nice as well. Attentive staff, lovely dining areas within the property, close to many great restaurants and bars. We plan to stay here again.

Hotel Scherman was everything it is advertised as! The staff were great and accommodating. We originally stayed in a townhouse room for the first night but after I hurt my toe (not at the hotel) they were great about moving our room to the main building so I didn’t have to navigate the narrow stairs in the townhouse. We had a rainy day but the hotel had many umbrellas available for guests to use, which was super convenient. It was close to the subway system, Times Square and all of the major theaters. When we return to NYC, we will look to stay at Hotel Scherman again!

If i could give more than five stars I would. This hotel was fabulous. You are close to all the restaurants, Transportation. The staff could not be warmer and this hotel is going to be our Go To place when we come to New York. As a matter of fact, I am already planning my next trip.

Lovely hotel, lovely room, great location, loads of delicious restaurants nearby. The sushi restaurant opposite is very expensive, but some of the best sushi I’ve ever eaten! Useful that there’s a sink on a coffee machine, a fridge and a hot plate with some basic utensils and crockery. However, the hotel also offers breakfast, which was included in my rate. I had to check out very early, so they kindly are giving me a 6 am takeaway breakfast.

We enjoy this small boutique hotel. They include a small continental breakfast each day which is perfect to start the day and figures into the cost. Great location around restaurants and close to Times Square. Little hidden gem.

Great family stay!

The Hotel Scherman was amazing, and made our trip for my son’s birthday so special. The location is amazing, so close to the show we were in NYC to see, but also felt like a peaceful retreat when we wanted some downtime. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, and we absolutely loved the balcony and rooftop terrace.

Our favorite NYC Hotel!

This was our first visit to Hotel Scherman and we were very pleased. We’ve stayed at several other NYC hotels over the years but this one is a keeper! Check-in was fast and easy. We did not need parking. It was a close walk from 34th St train station. Hotel location was perfect and close to everything we wanted to see! Restaurants are steps away. The hotel was clean and the room was adequate size to accommodate 2 people. The bed was comfortable and we heard no outside noise. We had a small kitchenette that met our needs. You would need to bring your own frying pan if cooking on the electric stove top. They had a single use Keurig with a variety of k-cups and creamer and sugar. Our favorite part was the rooftop terrace and the inside connection to the Backstage Tavern. Elevator worked fine and quick. We had no issues with any part of our stay and are looking forward to a return this year!

The staff were excellent. Friendly and accommodating, whomever we talked to they had what we needed. The roof top terrace was the highlight - a great place to enjoy dessert and sunset.
