Property entrance was impressive with its 1920’s style but the room was tired and in need of a refurbishment - air con very noisy with a rattle & wasn’t working well, bathroom door lock falling out & no hot water for a whole day. Staff very serious about life so didn’t make you feel that welcoming.

We stayed 4 days at the Edison in room 1009. The property is right off Times Square and the staff was very nice. You must show your key card to get on the elevator, so also very safe. They have a service where you can drop off your suitcase and they will hold it, until checkin (or at checking out) which was nice. It was $7 for our 4 suitcases. The room was very dated. Very dated ugly furniture. Not in a cool vintage way. Just an old, crap kinda way. The wallpaper was peeling in our room as the the carpet pullled up on the edges. There were specks of stuff obviously not vaccumed. The bathroom was so small that only 1 person could be in there at a time and there’s really no space to unpack anything but a toothbrush. The hotel claims “soundproof rooms” but we could hear literally every words our neighbors said, as well as the people upstairs showering. It also said “fridge available on request” so we requested one. Welp, that was an additional $30 a DAY. Microwave was the same price so we ended up with a fridge and food we couldn’t eat because we couldn’t heat it. The worst part was the AC/Heater. We were there during the coldest cold front of the year. Our heater would not allow us to set it and stayed at 75-76 blowing hot air nonstop unless we had on the AC and then it was freezing. It was LOUD and every 4 minutes round the clock it would make this terrible horrible loud clanking sound. We told front desk who sent up a couple guys who only looked at the thermostat

We enjoyed our stay, although it was one night. The Edison is nice, the restaurant with the singing waiters and waitresses was fun! It is very convenient to shopping and Broadway. The room was nice, but we could hear people in the rooms on either side of us and the hall. At night it was quiet. I'd stay again.

Absolutely fantastic! This hotel is a gem. It is clean, well maintained, well staffed and in a great location. Whoever does the hiring and trading of the employees knows what they are doing…… friendly, professional people in every department. Tried 2 of the hotels restaurants…outstanding! This was a great hotel in NYC! The rooms are more spacious than other hotels I've stayed in, and includes a voucher for breakfast which was nice.

I didn't expect a hotel basically in Times Square to be quiet, but it was. Friendly and helpful staff, great location, clean rooms and facilities, and a rather good restaurant, too.

Perfect location to the shows and all the restaurants. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Both restaurants onsite offer great food and service. The Rum bar in the lobby had great music and drinks and food for after the show fun.

Clean rooms and excellent location for theatres

My friend and I enjoyed one night in NYC at the Hotel Edison to see Wicked at the Gershwin. It was an excellent location, right on Times Square, easy access to a subway and waling distance to many food locations and theatres. The staff was very helpful and courteous and the rooms were well kept and clean. I would stay here again and again!

We were happy with our stay at the Hotel Edison. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed both restaurants on property and liked the central location. House keeping did knock on our door at 9 am for some reason though.
