Great place for NYC

NYC is known for closet-sized hotel rooms that cost your entire paycheck per night. By comparison, Hotel Indigo is a steal. Large (for NYC) rooms, newer building, clean & comfortable. Not many amenities on site but just walk outside and you’re in one of the best neighborhoods in the city. Many reviewers noted the noise from the club. We ended up staying on the 4th floor to avoid it, and it didn’t bother us on a Saturday night.

Very nice staff who gave me a one hour late checkout, and responded quickly to a couple of housekeeping requests. Room comes with a few freebies which is nice. On the 19th floor, I did not hear the loud music from a club on an upper floor done complained about. Best off all is the lower East side neighborhood that is full of lovely cafes and restaurants, and yet still has the feeling of historic old New York with low rise buildings and some old signage over the stores .

It’s a fun location to stay. Especially if you like the lower east side. The windows are problematic though. They don’t close properly. We’ve stayed here many times and it’s always the same issue. But the staff are awesome so it makes up for it.
