So it's not that my stay was bad, but for the price I paid I expected more. Some of the things that caused this to be a so-so review were out of the Paul's control - like the very noisy and loud child next door that somehow never seemed to leave his room during the entirety of my stay. Overall it's not that the hotel was bad, just disappointing in a lot of areas - some fine tuning is needed. I had booked a queen room for my stay, and was put in a room with two double beds - because the cleaning staff left before making up a queen room for me. When I questioned this, I was told that I had been upgraded to accommodate - but I'm not really sure what that "upgrade" entailed. I had already started to unpack and had to run to an appointment, so I just accepted the room despite it not being what I had booked and paid for. The room was relatively clean and well presented, but there were issues; the thermostat didn't work and the room was very warm, the bathroom light over the sink didn't work, the shower handle had come undone and was tricky to operate, the shower water was warm not hot and to get the tv to work I had to wedge a plastic cup behind it to hold the antenna cable in. The location was good and very convenient to my business meetings, and I would try the hotel again - but not at the price I paid per night.

I received terrible sleep. I think there was something wrong with the pipes. Every time someone in the building flushed the toilet or showered, there was a piercing high pitched noise that came out of the bathroom. It would regularly wake me up throughout the night despite wearing headphones.
