The hotel overall was really nice, the staff were always pleasant and the food was amazing. Being all inclusive and close to 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen was very convenient and you always had something to do. The downside was the property was very small as was the one pool. The music played from 11am to 11pm very loudly so no relaxation at all. The beach was a block away but you could use two of the Reef’s other properties with beach access for an extra fee. In the end I would recommend this property.

9/10 would be 10/10 if there was more priority for those who are actually staying on the property over “walk ins”. since the property is open to the public the roof top beds and chairs fill up fast. also wasn’t a fan on how reservations were required for all food options minus buffets/pool bar. other than that loved my stay!!!!

The only issue was that I requested an early check-in at 11 AM, but my room wasn’t ready for over 4 hours. My guest and I had to wait in the warm lobby after our flight with no AC. Closer to check-in time, we were invited to the rooftop for lunch to pass the time, but still had to wait until after 3 PM to get our room. Other than that, everything was fantastic!

Everything was great until we got sick with diarrhea but I am not sure if the water in the hotel is to blame since we ate outside of the hotel one time . It could hv been from that place … We loved the roof top bar and area also the Buffett breakfast and Mexican restaurant . The hotel’s location is great close to the happening and love that we could shuttle to the other sister hotels and use their amenities for a small fee. Overall a great hotel and stay .

Pros: great location, staff were greatly , clean, all inclusive. Adults only and accommodated sister resort not having available times for massages, massages available at property were good. Cons: unable to bring food back to your room, no room service, very small pool, not enough seating on top deck, food was okay at best, premium liquor not included, most meals were served lukewarm, some “hot” items weren’t even Luke warm, excursions weren’t explained in detail, weren’t told about exclusions for excursion and time was for excursion was almost 3 hours longer than what we were told.

The rooftop area was amazing and had a fun vibe to it. The entire staff was the best I’ve ever experienced at a place like this. Francisco was there almost everyday I was there on the rooftop area and he made it fun the whole time. Always provided amazing service and entertaining guy. Ricardo who works in the lobby bar was also an absolute pleasure to sit, drink, and speak with. He provided a lot of good knowledge of the local area and was genuinely great to have as one of the first faces you see walking into the hotel. The concierge desk, restaurant waiters, and cleaning staff were amazing as well. There are too many names to mention. Overall I would highly recommend this as a place to stay if you are looking to stay in Playa Del Carmen.
