They only had live entertainment on Saturday and Wednesdays. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing. The steak house was closed two days due to low census but other than that, everything was nice!

Nice, laid-back resort. Property and rooms are spotless, service is great. No beach but great pools. Cool that there is a brewery on site. Food and drinks tasty and plentiful. I've been twice and will go back again. The King Suite Swim-Up was my fav room so far.

A huge thank you to Armando and Alfonso. They were so great taking such good care of us. This property is quite nice very quiet. The only downfall is there is no beach access and the seagrass made a little area that is a beach inaccessible we also did not get flip-flops up upon arrival. It would have been nice if they offered some sort of shuttle or transportation to another resort with a beach would have made our stay just that much better.

Beautiful resort. Staff was very friendly. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and enjoyed this resort very much. There were a few things that disappointed us, - no beach (which we expected) we are more pool people but it would have been nice to walk the beach. - The bars close too early, we met a few people there and wanted to continue drinking but landshark closed at 1am so we just sat outside and hung out but it would of been nice to have a few more drinks - The resort is in the middle of nowhere and you can’t just take a walk off the resort which we would of liked - We also went at the end of August where there’s a lot of seaweed and so the smell was very strong If this stuff doesn’t bother you, it’s a great resort. The pool was beautiful, drinks were flowing, food was pretty good and our room was stunning. & it was only a $10-$30 Uber ride to the city.

No Beach No Entertainment Only Draft beer Food for the most part was poor to good. Only one restaurant was good and that was the Italian Cost to buy things expensive Oh did I say no beach and no access to beach. We will never stay there or any other Margaritaville again. We asked to change to there other resort that actually costs less and even though they had plenty of rooms Available they would not allow us. All in all I would say a 4 out of 10.

The place was great but will never use Expedia again. I missed my original flight and instead of revising my reservation, I was told to book a new reservation and my original would be refunded once the new reservation was confirmed. Well I have been home from my trip for 4 days and I am still fighting for my refund. Expedia keeps trying to blame it on being unable to contact the resort, but I have no trouble reaching anyone with the resort whether through phone or email. Expedia is a scam that only cares about how much they can swindle out of you, not a company that keeps their word, even when it is in writing. I will never use Expedia again since I paid for twice for my vacation.

We had a fantastic time at Margaritaville! The staff make you feel like family and treat you like you’re in their home! Food was fantastic as well as the drinks. Would highly recommend and will be returning for sure!

The hotel itself is nice. I liked the pools, especially the way they are layed out and are close together. The fact that there is absolutely no beach and smells (i know its not their fault) is just hard to take. The food was eh at best, which is also pretty disappointing. I've stayed at plenty of all-inclusive hotels and for this price, Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya is unfortunately one of my least favorite(and im a huge parrot-head). Not sure i would recommend it.

Lots to unpack here. Smelly property, mildew and seaweed. Beach useable right now. Limited dining and entertainment options. Far from any excursion, shopping, and activities otherwise. Reapeated playlist at pools. In room switches and lighting will break up your relationship, if you’re not strong😆 Staff if great, resort is smaller than most but overall a ok place to stay. Very secluded, won’t be a repeat destination for me.

The 2 restaurants that they have are good but they require reservations so plan ahead. Landshark should always be your backup plan as the food there is amazing as well. The resort/rooms are clean, the entertainment staff are fun, the employees are friendly, the bartenders are fast. The pools however are in rough shape. Most everyone had their feet cut at some point. I noticed a huge chunk of the bottom of the pool missing and crumbling out and notified the bartender. He immediately made a call and they placed mats at the bottom of the pool to cover that. My only concern and it’s a big one….I (female,49yo) was assaulted by a (male 20-30yo) guest and the resorts response was to make him stay in his room from the incident (11pm) until the morning. He first placed me in a headlock from behind and then choked me with his hands. It took 4 men to jump in at Landshark to stop this. I’m sure you wonder why….because I politely declined going to his bed by notifying him I am happily married for 29 years. We witnessed 2 women file reports against their significant others due to physical abuse/destruction of property and nothing was done with those men either. One of the women showed up the next day with fresh bruises on her legs and arms. Safety is a huge concern and I found myself fearing for any woman (or man) that needed help at the resort.
