Bar closes way too early limited food options. No adult activities. The point system you can only get chips and soda . Really? Umm .. nothing else . Horrible! Room service was so limited. If you’re eating the walk up and say.. we are closing in 45 minutes. And they start closing the buffet. No beach ‘n the pool is 3 feet. Not allowed in it after 7. They cater to the group that pays 100.00 a day to come each weekend from out in town. Everything was so expensive. The venders are there as you try to go to dinner. Pushy!! My TV broke . My air conditioner did not work. And if you say in your room for more than 15 minutes. Everything turned off. Like air, and lights. Paid way too much for nothing.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Five Stars! We’ve been coming to Cancun for 30 years and always stay at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso (we call it the Ritz Carlton of the Riviera) - adults only as well. So, our expectations are HIGH!! We booked Margaritaville for Mother’s Day / Graduation with our adult son as our other resort wasn’t available. What a blessing!! We’ve now discovered a new “go-to” hot spot in Mexico. From the frozen margarita popsicle upon arrival, to the impeccably decorated lobby and bar, to the friendly bi-lingual team at every turn, especially the pool activity team, the resort is top notch! The pools and pool bars are gorgeous and conducive to having a blast or taking a nap. The restaurants and bars were plentiful and the Italian Restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and delicious. I love Jimmy Buffet, but my husband does not. However, he was pleasantly surprised to see how they incorporated a bit of Buffet without going to extreme. The vibe and decor everywhere you go is a cross between Tommy Bahama & Key West’s best, but a bit more elegant. The guests were fun and ranged in age and it was easy to make friends, especially at the swim up bars. We travel and vacation usually twice a month, and this will be a repeat visit. And, we will most definitely be recommending this to friends. It would be a great friend or family reunion spot. You can’t beat the price for the value you receive and the close proximity to the airport makes it a huge plus!

Landshark brewery tour was excellent! Food was great at brewery for lunch but not so great for dinner/late night. My only complaint was we could not get our room cool enough at night-

Understand, there is literally no beach. Its on the water, but nothing you can go into. Saying that, we really enjoy this resort. Its smaller, newer, and the staff is excellent. If your looking to chill out by the pool, have some drinks and listen to music, this is perfect. We'll be back several times.

Was a lovely property with very nice staff. Wish there were more adult activities to do throughout the day, plus there was no true DJ club for the evening. The bar hours were also shorter than expected. But all in all, the food and service was wonderful!

If you are looking for a place to enjoy the bright colors, landscapes, sounds of the ocean, great music, activities/relaxation, ultimate buffets with the freshest food, & the absolute BEST staff/customer service around, then Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya – Adults Only is your place! No “License to Chill” needed, just simply show up & you’re in! I recently had my 50th birthday celebration with my wife to Margaritaville & hands down it was one of the best experiences we have had in Mexico! The moment we walked in we were greeted by our concierge, Ericka, who is amazing! She took us on a tour, handled dinner & spa reservations for us & checked on us every day. Her kindness & customer service were top notch, & it was showcased by every staff member throughout the whole resort! Restaurants & bars each with their own “flavor,” multiple areas to relax, fitness center, & the best spa! The activities team were just awesome & fun! They engage w/everyone, play all kinds of music, hold dance competitions, foam party, pool volleyball & much more! Being at Margaritaville automatically makes every guest chill. It’s easy to meet other people & engage in conversation even if you’re not a sociable person. There’s something about the atmosphere & surroundings that makes you relax & put the daily grind of life to the side while you’re there. I was not happy at all with the excursion that we booked very bad, nasty facilities, the dolphins were wounded, added cost not explaned or espected. Very disappointed

We didn’t care for this resort. There wasn’t much to do besides sit by the pool and drink. No beach even though it was listed as a beachfront property. We spent quite a bit on transportation to other places so we had something to do. All of the pool bars closed very early. The food was mediocre, and you can’t get a cup of coffee until 8am when their coffee shop opens. We would not stay there again, there are too many other adults only options in the Riviera Maya.
