We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Our favorites staff members were server Adrian at the family pool and Paulo the bartender. We never had issues finding 3 loungers together and didn’t ever get up super early to put our towels out. We preferred the family pool to the adults only pool as it’s so large and had a great vibe. The resort is clean and is kept up well. I had an issue with my door to my room as I would have to try several times to get my door open after activating with the electric key card but I didn’t complain as it wasn’t that big of a deal. My advice would be to tip the cleaning staff to make sure you get your bar fridge filled everyday as I heard some people complain about this. Also the elevator gets a bit busy sometimes so I chose to use the stairs mostly which I’m totally okay with. We saw a couple of people fall on the walking paths around the adults only pool. Wear shoes and dry your feet as it gets very slippery! We had a few near miss falls ourselves. The fish taco bar was incredible! I’m already missing my daily lunch! There is fish taco bar on one side by adult pool and a chicken tender bar by the Surf bar near family pool. Both served burgers, hot dogs, French fries, tortilla chips with queso. Buffet always had lots of options. I’m a vegetarian who eats seafood and always found lots to eat. The a la cartes were all good. Our favorite was the Mexican restaurant.

The Krystal Grand is a beautiful property, well kept, very clean, with very tentative and friendly staff. The food in the buffets was very tasty with a lot of variety and very good quality and friendy staff. We especially enjoyed interacting with Esther at breakfast each day. She is a delight, very outgoing, funny and a good server. The ala cart restaurants were very nice atmosphere, great food and professional staff. The bar staff at the adult pool were very good and made sure everyones drinks were full. The staff all over the resort were always asking if everything was good. We were pleasantly surprised to get an upgrade to Altitude Club on the 10th floor with a beautiful view. The staff in the Altitude Lounge were very helpful, especially Yaneisy who went above and beyond to help buy flowers for my wife's 65th birthday. The beach is great, perfect for long walks and swimming and an easy walk to Bucerias.

Our poolside server Michel was outstanding. The two servers in the breakfast dining room were also great. The food was great all over the resort. Check in for Expedia guests is cumbersome and we were given a room already occupied. The staff were not apologetic. Our shower was not great and the fridge was not cold. The room was very nice and the ocean view was fantastic. Would stay again.

Property was great! Buffet and a la carts door was also great. The only con was the lack of nightlife and trying to find a pool bed at the adult pool was next to impossible, you have to reserve a spot by 6:00am. Otherwise you were at the beach or family pool.

Let me start with a pretty disappointing start to our trip. We unfortunately lost the first day of our trip due to airline issues, but were very excited to finally make it to the resort. Check in experience was good, until we got to our room. We booked a family room with bunk beds for our 2 little ones. The room we were given was extremely dirty, and the smell of must and mold were very strong. The beds were clean and made but other than that it appeared like the room had been abandoned for quite some time. There was a table, but no chairs inside the room, or on the balcony. There was a puddle in the bathroom that we later found was an acitve water leak(hopefully not sewage) coming through the plaster in the ceiling from the room above, which my 2 year old daughter slipped and fell on twice, so we had to leave towels on the floor for the duration that we stayed in the room. Chunks of plaster were literally falling on the floor while we were in there. The bunk beds came with no side rails as they showed in the picture, we requested them and were never delivered. There was coffee, but no coffee maker. We had gone back to concierge to notify them of the issues, they told us they would being furniture and bed rails for us but we would not be able to move rooms until the next day. We ended up getting a clean room, but were downgraded due to capacity, which is understandable, but they were unwilling to compensate for the downgrade. Overall i would not recommend this resort.
