The country feel after finishing a hike and not being ready to go to the city.

Great stay away from holiday madness

We had a brilliant stay at Kinross in the winter. Staff were very friendly, buffet breakfast was great and room was spacious and cosy. Being 'out in the country' and equidistant from the ski fields was great for us as we wanted to go to all of them. Everyday on the drive down from the hills we were relieved that we *didn't* have to join the queue of cars trying to get back into Queenstown / Wanaka, we just headed for Arrowtown instead, which is a great little town. Only comment to the owners would be: it would be great if breakfast started slightly earlier than 7.30am, for folks who are trying to get to the hill early.

Nice and cozy in the mountains.

Pros: Very nice setting. Clean and tidy.
Cons: Single beds are not sturdy and not that comfortable.
Location: A bit of travel required to go to Queenstown, but in return you have peace and quiet.
Nice place with friendly people. Great breakfast choices.

Beautiful cottage on a vineyard.

Pros: The setting was amazing, who wouldn't want to wake up looking out at amazing autumn scenery and grape vines in Central Otago.
We were really impressed with our stay at Kinross, the staff were amazing, the food and wine were delicious and the cottage was beautifully warm and comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality.

Peaceful accomodation.

A bit disappointed as I made a booking with no cancellation for two nights. Having driven past this place on our way to goldfields jetboat realised how close it was to QT and wanted to explore more but couldn’t cancel the second night without having to pay for the nights fee. As for the accomodation nice, new missing some character and could hear the family of four in the room next door which was annoying. As for the property a bit disconnected with promoting surrounds, bike hire and dinner only open every second night. The fire outside was awesome but needed music or something.

bliss

Everything was wonderful - could not fault the place one iota. The food and wine in the restaurant were extremely good value. Half London prices and better

Boutique vineyard stay.

Pros: Cool rooms with space and a very comfortable bed. Great views too, peaceful and private.
Cons: Could have been a wee bit cleaner. It wasn't dirty at all but needed a bit of professional cleaner type sparkle.
Location: Great, beautiful location, would be amazing in winter too. Queenstown activities are 25 mins away.
Good location out of town but an easy drive back to Queenstown. Good staff and accommodation, the wine and food were excellent. The hosts are welcoming and personable, they are dog friendly and in my view, people that are nutty enough to travel with their pets on holiday are happy to spend extra on accommodation and meals and take very good care of the rooms they stay in. Thank you for letting them stay at Kinross cottages. We will definitely be back !
