The bed sheets were dirty, room does not look like the picture at all, no space for clothes and other belongings. Tweakers screaming all night nobody came to check in on us. The windows were covered by another unit 😂. What a joke of a place. Avoid at all cost unless u are there just for sleep. Even the bathroom situation is a nightmare. Shared unsanitary bathroom with non isolation from shower to toilet all in one room.

I recently stayed at **The European Hostel in San Francisco and had a really pleasant experience overall. The property is well-maintained, and what stood out most for me was the cleanliness. The rooms and common areas were consistently kept tidy, fresh, and comfortable, which made the stay feel safe and welcoming. A special mention goes to Nick, who is part of the staff. He was extremely professional, helpful, and always approachable whenever needed. His attention to detail and willingness to assist guests truly enhanced the overall experience at the hostel. It’s rare to find someone who balances friendliness with efficiency so well. Overall, a clean, well-managed property with supportive staff. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The staff were rude and mean. They did not accept my son’s legal id from the state of Vermont until I got the police and Expedia involved. When we extended our reservation they refused to recognize it saying my son’s dad was not on the reservation (he was). They cancelled our reservation and said they are refunding our $ which I have not seen yet. I had to get Expedia involved again over this. A huge waste of time for a small, ill equipped dump.
