We arrived with a reservation for a accessible room, which we needed for a family member who had major back surgery earlier this year. When we arrived to check in the desk clerk told us they did not have any accessible rooms, as that entire floor was having remodeling done, and that an accessible room might be available the following day, if the work got finished by then, or a couple of days later. Gratefully they refunded our prepayment, but, they should have some mechanism to advise travelers in advance that a room type that is reserved will not be available. We switched to a Hampton, and it worked out, but created a lot of phone calls and online checking to get the replacement hotel, and get Holiday Inn to refund us. Frustrating and we wasted an hour and a half.
