I have been staying at Harbor Point for the last 30 years. I love the Ontario building . The staff is excellent and so friendly. Its nice when they greet you in the hallways and ask how you are enjoying your stay. That does mean alot to people. We are up in age now, but hoping we can keep on traveling up to St. Ignace as I love the town!

It was a disappointment to get one of the only 2 rooms with a view on the parking lot instead of the lake view, and to be told that we had to reserve earlier when we made a reservation almost 4 weeks in advance, and not even in the high season. It makes us wonder whether Expedia customers are given less opportunities. The property is amazing and the view on the lake is stunning.

My only complaint is when I was asked at check in if I needed the housekeepers to come in and change towels daily or clean the room, I declined and said I would let them know if I needed anything. I don’t like anyone in my room when I’m not there. Each day, despite them knowing I declined daily service AND put the do not disturb sign on my door, the house keeper entered my room. Not overly a huge deal but when a customer is asked and the sign is on the door, the sign alone should not be ignored—you never know what you could be walking into.

The room was an older building dated and smelled like Hilex, it would have been nice to have a room that didn't smell so like humidity so we kept all of our stuff in a suitcase so I didn't smell up

Hotel is clean, they have a great breakfast and have two pool. Gowever i had booked 2 queen rooms and necause they had overbooked we got stuck in 2 rooms with full size heds. That should have been stated to us without me walking back up to the office.
