Decent. Party of 3. Booked room with 1 bed and bunkbed in the annex building. Very friendly staff. Exterior looks great but looks a little more rundown on the inside. Hotel contains 2 buildings, a main building (used for checkin) and an annex building. Spa is good, rest of hotel is just decent. Hotel room was smaller than anticipated based from the photos. Upon arrival of stay, found upper door lock to be broken, toilet seat cover cracked, musky carpet smell, shampoo and body wash were also empty. Water temperature was not as hot as other hotels (warm at best for me at max setting). Requested clean up and replenishment of soap. Did good job. Expected a little more based off of the total hotel rating. In all honesty comparable to APA hotels just not as nice or good aside from the spa. Would rather book APA hotel if it wasnt already all booked out. Good location next to train station and delicacies. Can be a little noisy due to the train though. Aside from awesome staff, decent place at best.

The location to Ueno Park and Ueno Station was perfect. The street outside the hotel was full of entertainment and food choices. The room itself was small and the carpet was stained. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a short amount of time.

We stayed here the last night of our japan trip ( stayed at 4 different other hotels), thankfully it was only one night! This one definitely was the worst we stayed at, looked more like a motel rather than a hotel. Carpet/bathroom was not clean. I do not recommend this hotel! Close to Ueno station though!

We stayed 4 nights. The hotel is in a great area with lots of dining options, and close to trains and metro. The only issue we had was with drying laundry. I would not do laundry there unless you have a very small load. Despite that, staff was very helpful and accommodating.

There are many hotels around this area, this is NOT one you want to stay in. After staying at many onsen hotels in Japan, I found this to be my least favourite. Its not very clean, the facilities are run down. I got the private soaking tub for the outside, but it was quite small and really not worth the extra I paid. Also please confirm with the hotel a few extra times about charges, because I did and still got charged significantly more. The staff do not speak English so its a futile attempt to try to explain. This won't be my last time staying around Ueno (as I enjoy the area for its grimy charm) but this hotel is just grimy. Period.

We stayed in a nice Superior Queen room for two and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The spa was definitely the highlight of our stay at this hotel.
