I didn’t realize upon booking that we’d have to share a bathroom with other guests. Otherwise, I was dissatisfied with the dirty towels left in the sink in the room — more specifically, these were what appeared to be used cleaning rags —and what appeared to be a mouse trap in the room. The front desk workers were very hospitable but it was a lengthy check in process. The location was good and very walkable. Last, I saw this place advertised as a “bed and breakfast”, which would be an inaccurate description.

Great Value and Location

We were pleasently surprised to find the Kingston Hotel, not only conventiently located for our transportation needs, but also our room was clean, roomy and comfy! We were also pleased with the bathroom ammenities, including nice cozy slippers! Also appreciated the close proximity to the port for our cruise depature! The hotel staff were pleasant as well. We will not hesitate to refer the Kingston Hotel to our friends!

It was very outdated... I didnt even bother with the TV at all since it was from the 90s. Old and outdated and had to pay $25 extra just to park my car (paid through the hotel). Everything in the room was old and that being said, the price was outrageous. I had to spend $500 for ONE NIGHT. I wont return.

While the staff were nice and it was clean, we would choose a different hotel. This one is dated and in some rooms you have to share a bathroom that’s down the hall that everyone uses. The shared shower on our floor was out of order so I had to go down a floor to shower. Expensive to get a room with a private bath, no coffee pot or microwave or mini frig in room. I will choose a full scale hotel next time

The hotel is in a convenient location for walking around Vancouver or catching a bus. It is an older building with character and clean. My room had a private bath. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a secure luggage storage.

When booking this "hotel", no where did it say that the bathrooms are down the hallway. There is only a sink in the room. The shower on our floor was out of service, so my girlfriend had to go downstairs to shower. There's no sink in the men's restroom. If you poop, you must wait to wash your hands. They only had thin, disposable, wooden eating utensils. The three desk workers that I spoke to were friendly, but knew very little about the area. Honestly, the elevator was the nicest thing about the property.

We had the pleasure in staying at the Kingston Hotel in Vancouver both before and after our cruise. We loved it's historic charm and elegance, the Fables Restaurant right next door, and friendly, helpful staff. We will stay there again when visiting Vancouver.
