When I checked in and tried to go to my room, it was musty with a smell of mold or smoke (or both) and there was an air scrubber fan in the center of the room. They obviously knew there was a problem with the smell in the room. I asked for a different room and they said they were sold out for the night and everyone had checked in so they couldn’t move me (it was before 7pm). The woman at the desk wasn’t kind or apologetic in her tone. I ended up cancelling my room and going to the Marriott where they were kind and accommodating. The facilities look great, but the room we were given was not acceptable and I was pretty surprised by the service in this situation. I expected more compassion for the situation instead of feeling like I was the problem and an inconvenience to them.

This is new hotel so the property and upkeep are superb. Only problem is there isn’t enough staff for daily room cleaning. They were more than willing to send cleaning staff if you call and request it. Also the pool was very nice just no hot tub. Other amenities like bar and breakfast/common areas were great.
