Good hotel for the buck

This is our fourth visit to Emporio. It isn't a very strong hotel on client service, basic training. But this hotel has always tries to improve the infranstructure. The prices compared to other hotels with american brands/franchises are not insane. The food and CUA is fine, but not great. The other restaurants are way better quality, specially Baciolli. Service at the beach is good during a few hours a day, but generally speaking is quite variable from year to year. I did not rent a car, but it is quite a plus to have free parking. The hotel needs additional elevators.

Nice place but need minor upgrades

I wish they had hotter hot tubs. Too cold and the pools were freezing. Also breakfast selections were very limited. No bacon or home fries. Also need microwaves around the site. Food was cold.

The adult-only section wasn’t truly exclusive to adults. The swim-up rooms are not as advertised—you’ll find a splash pad just 30 feet away from the sliding doors at the back of the rooms.

Reception was the worst part, took 1.5 hours to check in, there was only 6 people in front of me, so not sure why it tookSo long .food was delicious and lots of variety, my roon was clean and a/c worked perfectly. . lots of stairs to get anywhere, I had a stroller with a toddler and it was extremely difficult to find elevators to get places, most of the time I ended up carrying him with the stroller

I feel that the advertised luxury room with ocean view, which we booked, was deceiving. The view from the room was a swimming pool and another building. There was an ocean view from a tiny balcony. I paid an extra 35 dollars per day to change the room to a room with real ocean view. I communicated this to an expedia agent, who tried unsuccessfully to get a refund.

The property had a lot of dining options and amenities within the facility. They did not disclose how pool chairs and daybeds needed to be reserved so that was an issue. Other than that no issues were encountered, staff and service was great. I would say making the entrance more secure would improve the feeling of being safe.
