My Second Experience at JW Marriott Cancun

This was my second time staying at JW Marriott Cancun, and once again, it was an exceptional experience. The service remains outstanding—warm, attentive, and consistent across every touchpoint. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, with breathtaking ocean views that make the stay even more special. From the relaxing poolside atmosphere to the excellent dining options, everything was perfectly executed. It’s a place I would happily return to again and again!

Things I liked: Very safe. Well kept grounds. Stay was very nice. Their breakfast buffet is good, they can it continental but it's not, it's actually a full breakfast buffet which was great. They have great onsite shopping. Ways to improve: They don't manage the pools well. People leave their towels on the lounge chairs for 10 hours without coming back and the staff do nothing to make them available to people who want/need them. One simple pinacollata is 16$ usd. The food was very expensive, much more than got the same in the United States. 150 usd for 2 people was average bill at onsite restraunts. House keeping cleaned our room 4 out of 7 days. 1 day the elevators didn't work (we were on 7th floor). One day they shut off the water all afternoon. The hot tubs are not very warm. Overall it's very nice, but much more money than even the average resort in the US in terms of cost. They have good food options. It was one of our best hotels experience we ever had. We were completely blown away by how well trained the staff was. They were all exceptional and naturally caring they weren’t doing it for the money they did it because they loved their jobs. I hope management is paying them well because I have never seen such professionalism in just one place. I could go on and on so I will end by saying everyone place choose this hotel whenever you go to Cancun because I want you to have this experience for yourself. 👏👏👏👏

This marks our eighth visit to the JW, and we continue to return because it is consistently exceptional in every regard. While turnover is inevitable in the hospitality industry, the JW stands out with its remarkable staff, many of whom have been with the property for years. Their personalized service and genuine efforts to get to know our family create a truly welcoming and memorable experience. Though we rarely request special accommodations, on the few occasions we have, the JW team has always gone above and beyond to ensure our needs are met. I wholeheartedly recommend the JW, and I have no doubt we will be back for our ninth visit very soon. Cheers!

This is my 2nd visit to JW Marriott Cancun 18 years later. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the JW! The staff is incredibly attentive, available, and helpful whether it's the Spa, pool waiters, front desk, all of them. This is a great location there are several restaurants within walking distance where we enjoyed eating each night. We had lunch by the pool and the nachos are soooo good. I can't speak to other restaurants on the property since we didn't try them.

We were disappointed with our room. Prefer to be close to the beach elevator and on the East side, higher floor. I know status matters, but pilots spending a night in a suite seems wasted (they said so too). There was a wedding, so it was quite noisy. That was okay, as it was fun to see them celebrate. The pools closed at 6 p.m. Please keep one open, maybe the adult pool. Elevators were slow. The A/C in our room was noisy.
