I was very disappointed that the bar next door did not offer meals. The advertising said meals were available and were good. I would not have booked there if I knew we had to walk in the dark to find a place that served European food…my friend is 94…nearly all nearby restaurants were Asian. Not a good aspect to our stay.

Upon our arrival we were greeted with friendly and warming hospitality. Check in went very smooth. It has undercover secured parking for us to parked our car free of charge. Location were great as there is Woolworths and fitness centre nearby.The room was super clean and also the bathroom. Highly recommend to stay here when your are visiting Christchurch

Nice layout of room which feels spacious, good heating and extraction fan in bathroom to keep it clear of steam. Ph charging bed side lamps.

Facilities were all modern and clean, the carpets were very aged and stained, almost need replacing but overall was still clean. The drive into the carparking area was cluttered with bins and there was a door to an outside storage area tgat was unlatched and swinging into the drive. I had to get out and close it as it could have scraped my vehicle driving in. A very tight carpark but great that the vehicle was off the street.

Broken light not fixed or replaced during 4 day stay. Insufficient crockery for amount of people in room. Tea, milk etc not replaced. Clean towels & flannels not replaced during stay. Insufficient disabled parking.

This was a last minute “have to “ after plane returning to Christchurch. But it didn’t have the room service that was advertised on the wotif ad. Very inconvenient for trying to get breakfast etc. because had no coat or brolley.

The security is the worst I’ve ever seen Door to street wide open all day.Stairs to upstairs right inside door before reservation desk People could enter and desk would never know Desk guy never at desk anyway room ok Fairly clean Sketchy neighborhood Bad parking situation.Elevator not working Washer dryer not working Can’t believe it’s a Best Western Don’t stay here

Little Hidden Gem ?

Looks can be deceiving.Images looked great, reality was different. Difficult to find the hotel entrance, drove up the “service lane” behind a row of Asian take aways with dustbins for company, thought I was teleported to Vietnam. That happens to be the entrance to the parking garage. Finally got to reception, complete with stained carpets. First impressions …… run, before the bed bugs mug you. Prepared for a bad experience, was too late to cancel so what else could I do. Opening the room door was a huge relief, a well set out room with all the necessities, biggest surprise was the modern en suite. Great shower and comfy bed are my non-negotiable, these were fantastic. Didn’t try the adjoining bar for food. Gotta work on the welcome as first impressions ….
