Little red cabin down in a country village. The cabin is across from The Spoon River along with a park and the Bernadotte Cafe Restaurant/bar. The Bernadotte Cafe serves homemade delicious food at a reasonable price (cash only) and the new bar is a must see. ATVs welcome. Many places to ride. Some of the biggest fish are caught here on the Spoon River. Come and enjoy a relaxing getaway.

Perfect house for a getaway!
The house was immaculate, and so cute! The owners are so communicative and helpful, and have just about anything you'd need for your stay (grill, extension cords for the campsite we rented from them nearby, etc) We love staying in this town, especially because its ATV friendly. The owners were very accommodating in showing us where to park our trucks and trailers so as to not interfere with their neighbors properties. Highly recommend this rental!

Home away from home
Perfect place for me to stay while visiting family in the area. Quiet and isolated, but with a restaurant/bar just a short walk away. Wonderful wildlife watching and sunsets on the drive to the property each night. The property has everything I could need.

Nice little home in a nice town
Stayed here for a week with my son and some friends. The house was clean and well maintained. Amenities including, extra bedding, dishes, towels, etc. were available. The owners are easily accessible and responsive. House is a one bedroom but a fold out couch and extra inflatable beds were provided. There was plenty of room for sitting and eating. Nice TV with DirecTV service worked well. Wifi internet is provided but somewhat slow as expected in this part of the state. My ATT cell phone would work in most parts of the house and outside. Friendly neighbors and an overall friendly town. There is a small restaurant walking distance from the home that has really good food. Overall it was a pleasant experience and the home was just right for our needs.

This cabin is very nice. The owners put a lot of thought into the needs of their guests. When I arrived there was music playing softly in the background and a bottle of Sparkling Ale with 2 heavy plastic goblets on the counter. It is very clean. There is a cafe across the road that serves homemade lunch and dinner. It’s quant and I loved it. The owners Sue and Jerry are one of a kind.
